A new simplified Xbox 360 Controller - already available???

These days if Microsoft's Peter Moore speaks, his words are often over-analyzed and twisted like a pretzel... The latest "news" buzz this week is that Microsoft is looking into creating a simplified controller. This news was created when Peter Moore talked generally about bringing more people in by making it easier and more intuitive to pick up a controller and play a game. You can't blame Moore as this has been the latest game industry 'marketing speak' even before e3 this year (wash... rinse... repeat...). In addition, he commented about the complexity of current controllers (shoulder buttons/etc...), and praised Nintendo for their efforts with the Wii controller. When pressed on the issue of Microsoft's intent to develop an alternative to its current Xbox 360 controller design at the recent Electronic Arts Community Event, Moore hinted that the company was "doing a lot of stuff there," but added that it was something that was not ready to be publicly discussed.
Perhaps Peter should take a step back, and take a look at a 360 box...

Oh my god... we already have a simplified controller!!! In fact it is perhaps even simpler than the Wii-mote!

Combine this with Xbox LIVE Arcade games and holy s@#$, the Xbox 360 already has an opportunity to 'bring more people in'!
Moral of the story... perhaps Microsoft should market and promote the products and services that could perhaps do exactly what Nintendo is touting...
and, oh by the way, they are currently available today....
My two cents...
