haha, the wii is the ONLY true next gen console. it's fun, and costs less not because it isn't as good, but because nintendo has it's customers, and future customers, in mind. sony seems to have built a "powerhouse" of a ps3($600-or higher), but the size and design make me vomit. the ps3 games will also way over what the average....and even above average console gamer wants to pay. sony, get it together, you've stolen so many ideas from everyone through the process of creating this stupid machine. anyone who buys a ps3, something might be wrong with you. go ahead and blow you time and money, because if your really going to spend that much on something, i recommend getting a Wii and an Xbox 360. because when your still recovering from losing all your money to a sony ps3, i'll be enjoying my Wii, and xbox 360. eventually microsoft will be coming out with comething new also, and you will still have your ps3 (haha) and you will basically be poor if you actually buy the ps3 and games for it. but then again whatever you "really" want to do is up to you, but i still think that getting a Wii and Xbox 360 is the way to go.

The wii will be played at parties because it is a great party game platform, however, if games of the caliber of Twilight Princess, Metroid Prime 3, and Mario Galaxy are released throughout the life of the console (in other words, if third party developers make games that are as good as Nintendo's) then it can still be a contender. Peter Moore is correct, in the first use everyone will for the first day or two be very excited with the different way the console approaches gameplay. However its a novelty one that will wear off eventually leading to what Peter Moore said whereby the console will be pulled out at parties.

Goku, your childish name only reinforeces your childish opinion. people are sick and tired of the same old crap. The wii will make you feel like your actually a part of a game, a much fuller experience. But if a full gameing experience is only novelty, im sure you are right.

A lot of the first generation games for the wii will be stepping stone games. Developers getting used to the idea of how they can use the remote. The second generation should calm down a bit and get back into the flow of using it when its better not trying to work it into everything and let the Virtual Console controller do a lot of the general work.

What moore was trying to say, was the wii is a gamecube 1.5 with a new accessory. Next gen is about graphics  and immersion of the story. People keep saying the wii is bringing something new..no their not it's still going to be the same concept with last gen graphics that you can use a dvd remote or turn it off and use a regular controller. I'm tired of people keep saying oh nintendo is bringing something new...oh yeah which is a new series...last time i check twilight princess was originally for the gamecube, but wait they added a dvd remote so that makes it next gen...
