Just happened to be cruising around Amazon and low and behold the old Xbox 360 HD DVD Player/Add on is the most popular Xbox 360 item (even ahead of Gears of War)!

Does this spell doom for Blu-Ray?  Certainly not at this point, but its a pretty darn good sign that the interest is high for this item!

They have it listed for $199.99 with Free shipping and no tax (except KS, ND, KY, WA).

Well, it's more popular than Gears of War because Gears of War has 2 different versions of its game. One limited edition set, which is number 9, and the normal one, which is number 2. If you add both of those sales together I have a feeling Gears will sell way more than this HD-DVD drive. What is more interesting is that the PS3 is 20,731st in popularity ranking at amazon and the Wii is 151st. I think Sony might have some trouble this round.
