Do you recall what happened during the Christmas of Halo? If not, here is a quick reminder...
The craptacular down time lasted longer than many of us care to remember. The Halo 3 surge combined with the influx of new Xbox LIVE members was just too much for the super secret Xbox LIVE data center to handle.
This year, the Xbox LIVE team will have an equally large surge of new activity thanks in large part to a little title called Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 .
So, now that we have taken a look back at the past, and a look into the future, will Major Nelson, E, and the rest of the Xbox LIVE team be able to keep gamers happily gaming into 2010?

Amazon and Walmart made headlines this week by matching each others deeply discounted book prices. It looks like the war has now shifted to video games!
Earlier today, Walmart began offering a free $20 gift card w/ Call of Duty Modern Warfare pre-orders. In response, you can now pre-order Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 (PS3/PC/Xbox 360) and get a $20 video game credit at Amazon as well!
